CoomeChat Terms of Service

1. Acceptance & Scope

These Terms govern your use of CoomeChat, a random video chat that pairs two strangers on live one-to-one video in a web browser. They cover the website, the matching and calling features, the safety tools, and any optional purchases.

There is no account to create, so there is no sign-up box for you to tick. You accept these Terms by using the service, in practice from the moment you start your first call. If you do not agree with them, stop using CoomeChat.

These Terms work together with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines. Where the Guidelines describe behaviour on a call in more detail, they form part of these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or older if that is the minimum age where you live, to use CoomeChat. You must also be legally permitted to use a service of this kind under the laws that apply to you.

By using the service you confirm that you meet this requirement. We do not ask you to prove your age before a call, and that trust is the basis on which access is granted. Misrepresenting your age breaches these Terms and ends your right to use the service immediately.

There are no accounts, so there are no login credentials for you to keep safe and no account for you to transfer or sell. You remain responsible for what is done from your device and connection.

3. What the Service Provides

CoomeChat runs in your browser. There is nothing to install, and the whole product is the call and the people in it.

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the service, and we do not guarantee that it will be available without interruption. In particular, we do not promise that anyone will be online, or that you will be matched with any particular kind of person. Matching is random and depends on who is using the service at the same moment as you.

4. No Accounts, No Published Content

Unlike most platforms, CoomeChat gives you nothing to publish. There are no profiles, no posts, no comments, no photo albums and no public pages carrying anything you made. Nothing you do here is indexed by a search engine under your name.

The only thing you transmit is your live camera and microphone during a call, to one other person, for as long as that call lasts. You are responsible for what you choose to show and say. Section 5 sets out what is not allowed.

We do not store the content of your video conversations. This means we cannot retrieve, review or produce a past call afterwards, whether you ask, the other person asks, or anyone else does.

5. Acceptable Use

The full behavioural rules are in the Community Guidelines. In summary, you must not:

• Use the service if you are under 18, or engage in any way with a user you believe to be a minor other than to end the call and report them.
• Expose yourself, perform sexual acts, or direct sexual behaviour at someone who has not asked for it.
• Harass, threaten, intimidate, or abuse anyone, or attack them on the basis of race, nationality, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or appearance.
• Show violence, gore, self-harm, weapons, illegal drug use, hate symbols, or any content that is illegal where you or the other person is located.
• Present anything other than your own live camera as a live feed. That covers pre-recorded video, looped footage, and another person's image.
• Advertise, promote or drive users to another service, solicit money or payment of any kind, impersonate anyone, or attempt blackmail.
• Record, screenshot or otherwise capture another user and share it without their agreement.
• Use bots, scripts, scrapers or any automated means to access, match on, or extract data from the service, or interfere with its security or normal operation.

These rules apply from the moment a call connects. Breaking them ends your right to use the service.

6. Calls, Matching & Safety Tools

Every match is a private call between two people. There is no audience, no group room and no broadcast. Skip, block and report are available on screen throughout every call.

You may end any call at any time, for any reason or none. You are never required to explain yourself, stay in a conversation out of politeness, or do anything on camera you are not comfortable with.

Reports go to human moderators. Filing reports you know to be false, or using the report tool to harass someone, is itself a breach of these Terms. We may not tell you what action we took in response to your report.

You accept that you will be matched at random with people you have not chosen, and that we cannot screen or vet users in advance. We moderate in response to reports and to the signals available to us; that is not the same as guaranteeing that everyone you meet will behave.

7. Coins & Payments

CoomeChat is free to start. Everyone begins with free matches, with no card required. Coins and other optional extras exist beyond that; nothing about a normal one-to-one video chat requires payment, and you are never charged per minute.

• Coins and virtual items are a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use a feature within CoomeChat. They are not money, not property, and hold no value outside the service.
• They cannot be sold, transferred, exchanged between users, or cashed out.
• Prices and what a purchase provides may change. Unused items may expire where that is stated at the time of purchase.
• Payments are handled by third-party payment providers under their own terms. We do not receive or store your full card number.
• Refunds are governed by the purchase terms shown at the time and by the consumer law that applies where you live. Where you have a statutory right to a refund, nothing here removes it.

If you lose access to the service because you broke these Terms, any unused coins are forfeited.

8. Third-Party Services & Links

We rely on third parties for hosting, video transport, payment processing and analytics. Their services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Pages here may link to sites we do not control, and another user may try to send you to one during a call. We are not responsible for those sites or for anything you do on them. Treat any link a stranger sends you mid-call with suspicion, because that is a common route for scams.

9. Intellectual Property

The CoomeChat name, logo, interface, design, text, graphics and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of those rights to you.

You may use the service as an ordinary user. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from any part of it, or use our branding in a way that implies a relationship we have not agreed to.

You keep any rights you have in your own likeness and in what you say on a call. Because we do not store conversations, we do not claim, license or use recordings of your calls.

10. Enforcement & Loss of Access

Because there are no accounts to suspend, enforcement here means losing access to the service. Depending on what happened, that may be temporary or permanent, and we may act without notice where the conduct is serious.

Being under 18, directing sexual behaviour at someone who did not ask for it, and anything involving a minor result in immediate and permanent removal. There is no warning step for these.

We may also restrict access to protect the service and its users, for example where we detect automated access, payment abuse, or attempts to circumvent a previous removal. Serious cases may be referred to law enforcement.

You may stop using CoomeChat at any time simply by closing the page. There is no account to delete and no subscription to cancel.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and what we do not. The short version: we never receive your name, email address, phone number or a password, because the service never asks for them, and we do not store the content of your video conversations.

We do hold technical information such as your IP address, device and browser details, and records that a session took place. That is enough to carry a call, investigate abuse reports, and fix faults.

12. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

CoomeChat is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defect will be corrected.

You use a random video chat at your own risk. Other users are independent people over whom we have no control. We do not verify anyone's identity, age, or intentions before a match, and we are not responsible for what another user says, shows, records, or does, during a call or afterwards.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill or reputation, arising from or connected with your use of the service.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations of liability. Where that is the case, the exclusions above apply only to the extent permitted, and nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

13. Updates & Contact

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the service, the law, or how we operate. When we do, we update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Because there is no account, we have no way to email you about a change. If this matters to you, check back here from time to time. Continuing to use CoomeChat after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
