CoomeChat Community Guidelines

Every match here puts one real person on camera in front of another. These rules exist so that the person on the other side of the call has a good time too. They apply from the moment you tap start.

Effective DateJanuary 1, 2026
Last UpdatedAugust 16, 2026

Two things end access immediately and without warning: being under 18, and directing sexual behaviour at someone who did not ask for it. Everything else is judged on what happened and how often.

1. What These Rules Cover

CoomeChat is a random video chat that pairs two strangers on live one-to-one video. There are no profiles to fill in, no posts, no comments and no public feed. Unlike most platforms, that leaves almost nothing here to moderate after the fact. What matters is what you do live, on camera, in front of one other person.

That is why these guidelines are about behaviour rather than uploads. They apply to what you show, what you say, and how you treat whoever you are matched with, for every second you are connected.

Not following them costs you access to the service. Nothing here replaces the Terms of Service, which is the binding agreement between you and us.

2. You Must Be 18 or Over

CoomeChat is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old, or older if that is the minimum age where you live, to use it. This is not a formality. Live video with strangers is no place for children, and we treat it as the most serious rule on this page.

If you believe the person you were matched with is a minor, end the call and report them. Do not keep talking to gather proof, and do not confront them. Reporting immediately is the most useful thing you can do.

Anyone found to be under age loses access to the service, and we act on credible reports even when we cannot confirm an exact age.

3. What You Show on Camera

The person you are matched with did not choose you and cannot see what is coming. Nudity and sexual behaviour directed at someone who has not asked for it is the most common reason people are removed from services like this one, and it is the fastest way to lose access here.

Do not put any of the following in front of your camera:

NuditySexual actsExposed genitalsMasturbationAnyone under 18ViolenceBlood or goreWeaponsSelf-harmIllegal drug useHate symbolsAnimal crueltyPre-recorded videoSomeone else’s footageScreens playing videoAds or promo codesLinks to other appsPhone numbers

Point your camera at yourself. Playing a pre-recorded video, looping footage, holding up a screen, or presenting someone else's video as your own live feed is not allowed. That setup sits behind almost every scam that runs on random video chat.

Also think about what is behind you. A live camera picks up your room, the people in it, and anything on the wall or the desk. Anyone you are filming who has not agreed to be on the call should be out of frame.

4. How You Treat the Person Opposite

You will be matched with people from other countries, speaking other languages, with other beliefs. Meeting them is the point of the product.

  • No harassment, threats, intimidation or sexual pressure. Repeatedly asking for something after being told no counts.
  • No slurs or abuse aimed at anyone's race, nationality, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or appearance.
  • No pressuring anyone to undress, to move to another app, or to do anything on camera they hesitate about.
  • If someone does not want to talk to you, that is their decision. Skip and move on.

You are never obliged to stay in a conversation to be polite. Skip is always one tap away, and using it needs no explanation.

5. No Scams, Selling or Recruiting

CoomeChat is for conversation, not traffic. The following are not allowed:

  • Advertising, promoting or driving people to another site, app, channel or paid service.
  • Asking anyone for money, gift cards, crypto or payment of any kind, for any reason.
  • Pretending to be someone you are not: another person, a company, a moderator, or a member of our team.
  • Blackmail, including threatening to publish a recording or a screenshot of someone.
  • Bots, automated matching, or scripts that connect on your behalf.

We will never ask you for a password on a call, because there are no accounts and no passwords here. Anyone who does is not from us.

6. Privacy and Recording

We do not keep your conversations. Once a call ends, it is gone on our side. But we cannot stop the person opposite from pointing a phone at their screen or running recording software, and neither can you. Treat anything you show on camera as something that could be kept by someone else.

Recording or screenshotting another person and sharing it without their agreement is a violation of these guidelines, and depending on where you live it may also break the law.

The same goes for what people tell you. Do not publish, repeat or pass on anyone's name, address, workplace, phone number or social accounts from a call. Be careful about giving out your own, too. Anonymity only protects you until you hand it away.

7. Reporting and What Happens Next

Skip, block and report sit on screen during every call. Skipping removes the person from your screen; reporting is what tells a moderator something happened. If someone breaks these rules, do both.

Reports go to human moderators. Because calls are not recorded, your report is often the only account of what took place. It carries real weight, and so does filing a false one. Reporting people out of spite is itself a violation.

We will not tell you what action we took against another person; that is their private matter, as your outcome would be yours. For anything urgent involving a minor or a threat to someone's safety, email us as well as reporting in the app.

8. What Happens If You Break These Rules

Because there are no accounts to suspend, enforcement here means losing access to the service. What that looks like depends on what happened:

  • Immediate and permanent removal. For being under 18, for sexual behaviour directed at someone who did not ask for it, and for anything involving a minor. There is no warning step for these.
  • Removal. For harassment, threats, scams, impersonation, blackmail, or faking a live camera feed.
  • Temporary restriction. For lesser or one-off problems where the behaviour looks like a mistake rather than intent.

We decide based on what was reported and what we can see, and we would rather remove someone once than let a pattern build. Serious cases may be referred to law enforcement.

9. Contact Us

For questions about these guidelines, or to escalate something you already reported on a call, email us. Include roughly when it happened and what you saw. With no accounts, that context is what we have to work from.
